Literally the first 7 songs that came on shuffle.

The Harrowing Adventures - Tokyo Police Club
This song was on my sleepy playlist at some point so I always enter this almost catatonic state of calm whenever I listen to it. But also, a hint of worry, as I tend to think about a lot of things before I fall asleep. This song makes me feel like I'm in a cave, (ironically the name of a song by TPC) with a guitar. I also have the acoustic version, so this might not make sense to anyone but me.

Eddie's Gun - The Kooks
Dance party in my room, essentially.
This song reminds me a lot of my ex-boyfriend, as we used to talk about the Kooks and used to listen to this together.
Theres something really raw and exciting about this song, makes me all jittery and aprehensive, for what I'm not certain.

Eyelids - The Dodos
This song is too short, far far too short.
It reminds me of summer, my best friend, and the incredibly attractive drummer of this band (I've got a thing for drummers).
Its so beautifully romantic, as are a lot of songs by The Dodos, you just can't help but love it.

Flightless Bird, American Mouth - Iron & Wine
This song makes me cry, and I am never certain why, it's just so beautiful and seems to capture something in me that I might not even be aware of.
It is so timeless and simple, but seems to access a certain sense of loss, almost a sad memory.
All in all, a beautiful song.

Falklands Malvinas - Emperor X
No one knows who this band is, I'm pretty sure it's just one guy out of his basement. In fact I'm certain of this because in a moment of complete stalkerness I added this one guy on facebook. Yeah thats right, I have Emperor X on facebook... be jealous.
This song makes me think of a crowd of rowdy teenagers running through a suburban town, knocking over mailboxes and causing a general ruckus.
I can't help but move some part of my body when I listen to this song.

Blow Away - A Fine Frenzy
Ah, the strongest memory yet.
I was so lucky this summer to have caught A Fine Frenzy in concert while visiting family friends on Long Island. It was the sweetest little theatre, with a ceiling painted like the inside of a bigtop at the circus. In a crowd of trendy Hamptoners my sister, our friend and I were the youngest people there and it was one of the most special concerts I've ever been to.
Her voice definetley lacks the power of her live performance, and its almost too difficult to listen to without seeing her free spirited dancing I still can't help but smile when I hear this song.

Rag Mama Rag - The Band
This song just embodies all the conversations I've had with my Dad about music. Because he is such an influence in every aspect of my life it's no surprise that he should invade my music taste aswell, but its a happy invasion, one with streamers and confetti.
So...that was my friday night.
I had an exam today and so I decided to take a night to destress.
Tegan and Sara tomorrow, I am attempting to hide my excitement (but fuck am I pumped).
